Bondo's Pizza was established October 16, 1975 in the small Southern Illinois town of Galatia IL. Offering a variety of foods and great service.
Gary D Bond and Arlene Pemberton started Bondos Pizza in 1975. Gary worked for Peabody Coal Company 30 yrs , Arlene worked for Roswell Sloan at Sloan Furniture Store. The opening of Bondo's Pizza coincided with the success of the Galatia High School Bearcats Basketball team. Coached by Don Smith (a Benton Illinois native) and Ralph Walker (Harrisburg IL), the Bearcats finished 19-5. Some of the players: Jeff Mings , Mike Pingleton , Norman Garrett , Gary Stewart , Tim Russell , Brett Allen , Alan Pulliam Tim Rush, Vince Vinson, Rick Alecci and others.
